Kale

Brassica oleracea var. acephala

A tough leafy brassica that grows through Adelaide's autumn and winter and keeps producing for months. Pick lower leaves regularly and leave the top to keep growing. Cold weather sweetens the leaves; summer brings bolting and caterpillars.
